Biography

 Steven Lamar Moore is an award-winning film composer, songwriter, and record producer hailing from Compton, CA. Throughout his career, Lamar has distinguished himself with his evocative scores and diverse musical contributions across various media platforms.

Lamar's early success in film composition includes scoring over 10 films, notably receiving acclaim for his work on award-winning productions such as “CAGED”, which triumphed at the Cannes Film Festival under the direction of Nick Power-Gomez, and “KINGS”, directed by Jamaal Scott, a standout in multiple film festival circuits. “KINGS” further garnered attention as part of Revolt's TV “indie film series” from 2019 to 2021. 

In March 2024, Lamar achieved further accolades, winning the prestigious “BEST MUSIC SCORE” award for the film “Melanie & Kyle”, directed by Tiara West, at the OnSet ATL Film Awards.

Beyong film scoring, Lamar has demonstrated his versatility as an artist through a series of acclaimed albums. His releases include the instrumental jazz soundtrack album "Feel. Good. Cool." (2017), the original film music soundtrack "Scores & Moore" (2020), and his latest instrumental offering, "Chillhop Vibes Vol.1" (2022). His compositions have also enriched notable television productions such William Shatner's show "The Unexplained", Netflix's “Colin In Black & White”, and “The Closer” featuring Dave Chappelle. 

Lamar's musical influence extends into popular culture with his single "RU-LAX", which has garnered over 1 million streams on Spotify alone. His entire discography, including instrumentals and albums, is widely available for streaming and purchase on all major digital platforms.
